Encyclopedia of Unified Physics

INTRODUCTION

This set of books presents an attempt at organizing the backbone of science. It is intended to be used by readers interested in any aspect of fundamental science so that they will have a ready reference for learning and review.

The books begin with language. In this first book the most basic words of the English language are presented and defined in terms of various physical items and processes. These words, numbering just a few dozen, are the postulated words of science. All other words in this series of books are defined, ultimately, in terms of these few dozen words. It is anticipated that such crisp definitions will aid significantly in learning science.

The vast majority of the text presented here is the writing of many authors. The value of this set of books is due to the mastery by the authors of the subject matter and their skill of explaining and writing. The editor's task was to select the appropriate material. The editor also wrote the beginning books, Phonetics and Foundations of Language, as well as the final book, The Grand Unified Theory of Physics.

The grand unified theory postulates that the universe is a three-dimensional space filled with one type of particle. These particles make up an ether and all observed particles and their force fields are produced by flows of these particles. This kinetic particle theory gives a unifying framework to describe the small and large things observed in the universe. However, the theory, because of the utmost simplicity of its postulates, provides an easy way to develop the foundation of language and mathematics. In particular the use of varying quantities of physical balls is very useful in developing the concept of positive integers and thus the foundations of mathematics. Furthermore, assemblages of identical spherical balls provides concise means for understanding flat planes, straight lines, and perpendicularity.

The reader will note that these books have a heavy emphasis on advanced mathematics. Physical science requires advanced mathematics.

I have spent many years wondering how science fits together into a single framework. Seeing this in this set of books have been an exhilarating experience for me. I hope some other readers will have an interest in these books.
